Russian chess school
by WGM Dina Belenkaya
openings don't matter. we will teach you how to use your brain!
Most chess players try to improve by jumping between YouTube videos, puzzles, opening courses and blitz games. Russian Chess School takes a different approach: structured lessons, game reviews, homework, practical play, and coaching. We don’t believe in memorizing endless opening lines. Our goal is to help players develop real chess understanding, strategic thinking, and the confidence to make their own decisions at the board.

Roman
100 → 1145 (+1045 rating points)
What surprised me most about my chess development is how the marginal gains from consistent training really add up over time. It's a reminder that steady progress truly pays off.

Annabella
597 → 1604 (+1007 points)
I went from 597 to 1604, created an account in December 2023 and it hasn't been a year. I joined school when I was at 1200 and thanks to Dina and the community I have been able to gain 400 Elo while I was here.

Grace
592 → 1206 (+614 points)
I do a lot of puzzles and study different positional concepts, and I see that improvement during my games. This year I won the women’s prize in my section at the Toronto Open.
